I’ve been exploring the more atmospheric side of hard techno lately, and the track Dunes by Sam Laxton and Jon Connor came up. Wondering if it leans more cinematic or sticks to straight-up raw energy — anyone familiar with it?

It actually walks the line between both — the foundation is heavy and rhythmic, but there’s a sweeping, spacious quality that makes it feel almost cinematic. I found Sam Laxton, Jon Connor – Dunes through a recent update, and it stood out with its textured build and layered sound design. There’s a kind of tension in it that feels perfect for setting the tone early in a set. Definitely one of those tracks that sticks in your head after just one listen.
